Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP)
The Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) provides housing repair and rehabilitation services for low and moderate-income homeowners within Highland County. CHIP aims to improve the housing stock in Highland County through the repair and rehabilitation of owner occupied dwellings.
You may qualify for CHIP assistance if you meet the following criteria:
- You must be the owner of the home.
- You have resided in the home for at least one year.
- Your home is in need of repair/rehabilitation impacting health, safety, or residential code violations.
- You are up-to-date on mortgage and property tax payments.
- You are income eligible (80% AMI).
