Employer Services
Job Postings – Assistance with creating and maintaining own employer portal on OhioMeansJobs.com, as well as staff assisted employment opportunities posted on the state OMJ site, our local website, Facebook, and in both Highland County OMJ Center locations.
Job Fairs/Open Interviews – Job Fairs/Open Interviews hosted on site at our Hillsboro or Greenfield location, on a virtual platform or at your site. Events are marketed on our ohiomeansjobs.com site, our local Highland County Community Action website, social media platforms, and digital road signs.
Additional Services Include – Information on tax credits, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, Unemployment assistance, Labor Market information, assistance with layoffs, plant/company closures, basic work keys assessments and more!
Youth Employment Program
Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP)
Eligible Youth are able to receive services that focus on setting and achieving goals related to education, training and employment with the ultimate goal to enter a career and break the cycle of poverty.
Services are based upon individual need and may include:
- Tutoring
- Dropout recovery
- Structured learning
- Work experiences
- Occupational skills training
- Tuition and training support
- Leadership development opportunities
- Supportive services
- Mentoring
- Follow-up services
- Career guidance
- Financial literacy
- Post-secondary preparation
Employment Programs
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
Eligible Adults and Dislocated Workers are able to receive a wide range of educational and supportive services that reduce employment barriers and support self-sufficiency.
Services are based upon individual need and may include:
- Career services such as job search and placement assistance
- Individualized career services to include comprehensive career assessments, development of individual employment plans, counseling, and career planning
- Training services linked to career choice that may include occupational and basic skills training
Wellness, Recovery, and Employment Program (WREP)
Comprised of multiple different partnerships to act as a wrap-around program designed to provide support through treatment and lifelong recovery from substance use disorders. Provides healthy activities, career guidance, educational and training needs, peer-to-peer support, and on going services to assist in a healthy work-life balance.
Growing Rural Independence Together (GRIT)
The GRIT Project aims to aid both students and adults in uncovering financial independence through employment. The coalition leverages local, state, and federal dollars by bringing organizations together to form a collaborative approach to build a high-demand workforce and stimulate economic growth.
