Family and Community Navigator (Parenting & Pregnancy)
Highland County Community Action Organization Inc. has full time opening for a Family and Community Navigator (Parenting & Pregnancy). This position will be responsible for providing strengths based case management and coaching to individuals and families within the scope of the agency’s two generation work. The Family and Community Navigator is responsible for managing the participant intake, assessment, participation, monitoring, and outcome reporting of each referred individual in case plans and assisting them to access and coordinate services which they might be eligible to receive throughout the county in order to help their families become self-sufficient and healthier as a whole. The Family and Community Navigator will be required to provide and document weekly sessions with participants in the agency office and at participants’ homes as defined in the program implementation proposal and funding contracts.
This is a grant funded position through June of 2021 with the opportunity to continue if additional programs and/or funds are available.
Minimum qualifications for this position are an Associate’s Degree preferred in human and social services or related fields or have equivalent work experience. Previous case management experience preferred.

FAMILY SERVICE WORKER

HCCAO, Inc. Head Start (a non-profit program) is looking to fill a position at the Greenfield Center. This position will be responsible for working with families to complete the Family Partnership Agreements, complete the Family Service Assessments, set family and child goals, assist families through referrals and provide information to reach these goals. This person is responsible for obtaining and maintaining required paperwork needed for the child and family tracking system. This person is also responsible for tracking and obtaining child health documents as required by licensing.
This position also serves as a bus rider and he/she will be required to obtain their CDL and all other requirements to drive a school bus.
This position requires the ability to stoop, bend, and push, as well as lift up to 40 pounds. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Experience in social services or early childhood education preferred.

Workforce Specialist for Ohio Means Jobs | Highland County
Business Manager – Reentry Focus
Highland County Community Action Organization Inc. has full time opening for a Workforce Specialist in the OhioMeansJobs Highland County Office. The Workforce Specialist (with a focus on job development for reentry clients) is responsible for working with employers, job seekers, referred program participants, the local justice center, probation department, adult parole authority, county courts, corrections staff, and partners of the HCCAO Workforce Department. The specialist will build sustainable relationships with employers to ensure successful employment outcomes. The Workforce Specialist will promote the value of hiring individuals with criminal justice involvement and provide information to employers on hiring incentives such as Work Opportunity Tax Credits and Federal Bonding. The Workforce Specialist will work with staff, employers, and participant to set up On-the-Job trainings, apprenticeships, and other work experiences. Additional transition strategies will be used to assist with job placement activities to include mentoring, and other up skilling/wage gain transitional strategies. The Workforce Specialist will maintain caseload services and submit monthly and/or quarterly reports.
Minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related social/behavioral science field. Or an Associates degree in related field and 3 years previous experience in reentry, training, career and workforce development, social services or career counseling, and demonstrate a history of required work experience.

Highland County Community Action Organization Inc. has full time opening for a Workforce Specialist in the OhioMeansJobs Highland County Office. The Workforce Specialist (with a focus on reemployment service and eligibility assessment) is responsible for delivering program services to individuals in Highland County who are currently unemployed, receiving unemployment benefits and unlikely to become employed before their unemployment benefits are expired. Identify eligible applicants, record keeping, register and update records in Ohio Workforce Management System. Assist applicants in developing individual employment plan, referrals to support services, provide follow up and conduct workshops.

The HCCAO, Inc. Head Start program is seeking a Full-time Bus Driver to work in our Greenfield Center.
Applicant will be responsible for ensuring safe pick-up and delivery of the Head Start children. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and CDL with school bus endorsement.
