Financial Capability

Monthly on-site workshop offered to provide resources, tools, and support to individuals and families seeking to gain financial control of their lives. Information is delivered in one-five hour class session focusing on budgeting, credit repair, meal planning and understanding banking.

A one time fee of $25 for one participant and $15 for each additional household participant is charged, but can be reduced or waived based on income in certain circumstances. Participation in the workshop entitles customers to one-on-one person counseling which can target any specific financial concern for no additional fee. There is no income guideline for participation or residency restrictions. Workshops are typically held once per month. Prizes and refreshments are available.

Additionally, HCCAO has partnered with the Ohio Association of Food Banks to provide access to an online financial coaching tool called MyBudgetCoach. This is an online 12 month program providing a match between member participants and professionally trained budget coaches who will guide members through the process of creating a spending plan that fits your personal financial goals, needs and wants. Members can meet in person with their coach or they can complete sessions by phone and internet.

For full schedule contact Tianna Sammons at (937) 393-3458 or via email at [email protected]

This program meets the requirement for foreclosure mediation.
