Emergency Food Pantry Always Open, Increases Access from Once per Month to Twice

Highland County Community Action has always provided an emergency food pantry for struggling families.  It is open the same hours our services are accessible:  Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Households can apply in person with household member information and self-declared income.  We encourage bringing documentation to assist in completing additional applications that might prove beneficial to the household.

The agency provides roughly enough food for each person for three days for three basic meals.  Our goal is to help stretch those already tight food budgets to meet a family’s nutritional needs more fully.  We are here to  provide assistance and seek to ensure those in need are served.

While the program typically allows access once per household each thirty days, we have increased access to twice.  A household in need will be allowed access once every two weeks from now until the current state of emergency is lifted by Governor Mike DeWine.  We know that food should not be a worry for families and individuals during this time.
