The Highland County Community Action Organization Head Start program received a generous donation of wood toys hand-crafted by Craftsmen for Kids. The toys included building blocks, cars, ramps, puzzles, doll beds with dolls, flappy ducks, lacing boards, geometric bead stringing sets, barns, and more. The Craftsmen for Kids creates high quality, hardwood learning tools for Head Start classrooms, battered women’s shelters, and similar facilities serving at risk children.

For more information about Craftsmen for Kids visit their Facebook page.

The Head Start/Early Head Start program is a comprehensive school readiness program that serves children throughout Highland County ages 0-5 and prenatal women. Centers are located in both Hillsboro and Greenfield and offer both part-day and full-day classrooms.
