Health Services
We believe children learn best when they are healthy and well-nourished so we also provide health services. A physical and dental screening is required with our enrollment application to ensure that each Head Start child is receiving appropriate health care. Nutritious meals are served at each of our centers with the goal of supporting healthy eating habits for the children in our care.
Our Health Services Manager, Tonya Newkirk,also screens for vision and hearing and provides workshops and events throughout the year with a focus on health-related issues such as; oral health, obesity, and nutrition.
