Parents are always welcome at Head Start
The Head Start Vision for parents involvement is to create and sustain a partnership and collaboration with all Head Start parents, with goals to:
- Support parents as primary educators, nurturers, and advocates for their children
- To provide every parent with opportunities for a significant experience in Head Start
- To insure that parents are involved in making policy decisions for their Head Start program
Parents are the cornerstone of Head Start
We offer the following opportunities for parent involvement:
- Policy Council
- Parent Meetings
- Parent Committees
- Father Luncheon
- Mother Luncheon
- Grandparent Luncheon
- Classroom/Center Volunteers
- Bus Driver Training
