Family Planning
The Family Planning Program empowers individuals (women and men) with the information and means to exercise personal choices to determine the number and spacing of their children. The Family Planning program offers a broad range of acceptable and effective family planning methods, including natural family planning, provides services to adolescents, and to both females and males. The clinical visit includes: gynecological health care, choice of contraception, breast and cervical cancer screening, screening and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS testing and education. Education including such topics as abstinence, exercise, good nutrition, domestic violence, and substance abuse is also provided at the visits.
Program guidelines are as follows:
- Women must be childbearing. (Not have had a hysterectomy, not be menopausal, etc.)
- Teens may receive services without parental consent.
- The cost of services is based on a sliding fee scale.
