Food Pantry
The food pantry provides 3 meals per household member for a 3 day supply of food. Applicants must be residents of Highland County and have a gross income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines . Applicants may receive food pantry assistance no more than once a month and only once within a 30 day period.
In 2011 the food pantry provided 1389 unduplicated households with 52,794 meals.
Applicants for assistance are required to provide:
- Proof of residency in Highland County
- Picture ID
And are asked to provide the following:
- Social Security Cards for all household members
- Most recent 13 weeks of income information for all household members
- Proof of citizenship
